3.1 Skill-Based Competition

SnapStakes operates skill-based prize competitions. The outcome of each competition is determined by the skill, effort, and creativity of participants, not by chance. Specifically:

• All challenges require physical effort, social skill, creativity, or a combination thereof. No challenge involves prediction, randomness, or any chance-based mechanic.
• Submissions are assessed by other participants through a binary vote ("Does this submission meet the criteria? Yes / No") against published, objective criteria displayed to both the submitting player and all voters.
• Elimination requires a 75% supermajority of "No" votes, representing near-unanimous agreement that a submission does not meet the stated criteria.
• All votes are blind (voters cannot see others' votes before submitting) and anonymous (results are shown as aggregate counts only).
• Previously eliminated players continue to vote on all subsequent rounds. These voters have no financial interest in the outcome, ensuring that the voter pool includes disinterested participants.
• No algorithm, random number generator, dice, cards, or element of chance determines winners at any stage.

3.2 Apple Disclaimer

SnapStakes competitions are sponsored solely by SnapStakes. Apple Inc. is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, any SnapStakes competition in any manner.

5.1 Game Creation

Any user may create a competition ("Game") by setting a name, buy-in amount, and maximum number of players (3-10).

5.2 Challenges and Submissions

Each day, participants receive a challenge requiring them to submit a photo or video within 24 hours. Each challenge includes published criteria that define what constitutes a valid submission. Participants who fail to submit within the deadline are automatically eliminated.

5.2A Voting

All participants (including eliminated players) vote on each submission against the published challenge criteria. The voting question is: "Does this submission meet the criteria?" with a binary Yes/No response. Votes are cast during a grace period after the submission deadline closes.

5.2B Voting Integrity

By using the App, you agree to:

• (a) Vote honestly and objectively on all submissions, based solely on the published challenge criteria.
• (b) Not engage in coordinated, strategic, or malicious voting intended to eliminate a player regardless of whether their submission meets the criteria.
• (c) Not vote based on personal relationships, social dynamics, or any factor other than whether the submission meets the published criteria.

5.3 Elimination

After each round, participants who receive 75% or more "fail" votes are eliminated. This supermajority threshold ensures that elimination reflects broad consensus among voters, including financially disinterested eliminated players, that the submission did not meet the published criteria. Where the threshold is not met, the participant survives that round.

5.4 Winner

The last player remaining wins the Game and the prize pot (minus the platform fee).

6.1 Buy-In Payments

All payments are processed through Stripe. Payments are made in British Pounds (GBP).

6.2 Platform Fee

SnapStakes retains a 15% platform fee from the total prize pot. Any fractional amounts resulting from pot calculations are retained by the platform.

6.3 Refund Policy

Before a Game starts: If a Game is cancelled before starting, all buy-ins are fully refunded.

After a Game starts: Buy-ins are non-refundable once a Game has started. By paying your buy-in and the Game beginning, you acknowledge that your buy-in is committed to the prize pot and cannot be returned.
